Wanaka and Mt Aspiring National Park

The Brewbakers were right .. Wanaka is amazing !!! J  Am I becoming repetitive … yes!.  Wanaka, again, is situated in a glacial bowl that is surrounded by beautiful mountains.  Most of the mountain ranges are of the drier high desert kind.  But as you look into Mt. Aspiring National Park you are again looking back into the West Coast which has your more lush snow covered glacial peaks.  We have enjoyed both long city/lake walks and a few amazing hikes within a short distance of town.  The views from Diamond Lake hike at Rocky Mountain Lookout are looking back at Wanaka Lake and out to Mt Aspiring National Park.  And yes it is over three weeks in the camper van and we are loving it.  It is amazing how little space you actually need J
