Fiordland Time

After recovering from our days on Doubtful Sound, we were able to take in a little bit of hiking and site seeing in Fiordland before the rain and sand flies drove us away.  We hiked to Key Summit which is a side route off of the Route burn Track; I don’t believe I have ever been in a glacial bowl of such amazing 360 degree peaks and beauty.

The next morning the clouds moved in and we took a drive to Milford Sound, which is amazing no matter what the weather.  There is more hiking to be done in Fiordland but a forecast of 2 more days of rain made us pull the plug and we are headed back up North to a place called Glenorchy.  Lucky for us, on our drive North we got to experience the quintessential New Zealand moment.
