Roma – Lazio

Rome is a tourist ZOO … however, it is also a very beautiful and alive city.  The complicated and lengthy history, the volume of ruins, the ubiquitous sculptures and public art, and the amazing amount of piazzas and beautiful buildings are overwhelming, but fills a day with awe!  Rome has been very hot, which required a little extra “hydration” and gelato, but a wonderful last stop on a great journey.  For our final food shot, I am including a classic quick lunch of caprese insalata and a woodfire pizza …. Molto buono!!  Our journey is at its end.  Again, thanks for all of the blog comments and e-mails which have helped us feel not so far away.  We are looking forward to getting home and catching up with friends and family.  Next stop … Lummi J
